The sacrament of Matrimony celebrates the lifelong love of a man and woman for each other.  Their vows express the covenant, or special bond of love, between the husband and wife, who administer the sacrament to one another in the presence of the priest or deacon and the entire community as witnesses.  Through their married love, spouses may become co-creators with God by bringing new life into the world.  The accept the responsibilities and joys of raising their children as members of the Body of Christ.

Darlene Joynt, Fr. Tim and Marty Gay (marriage and family therapist), along with mentor couples, meet with engaged couples on a Friday evening and a half-day Saturday, and then again on another Friday evening about 5 weeks later. Mentor couples meet with engaged couples during the 5 week period (1-3 times). During the group sessions we cover topics that prepare couples for married life, such as assumptions, expectations, communication skills, love, sex, intimacy and living marriage as a sacrament.

Allow 6 months preparation for marriage.

If you’d like to be a mentor couple please call Darlene.
